Terms of use

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and SHRND LTD ("we", "us", or "our"), registered in England and Wales under company number 17350332. By downloading or using ChatMontage, or subscribing to ChatMontage Pro, you agree to these terms.

Your licence to download and use ChatMontage is subject to Apple's Standard EULA. These terms supplement that agreement and cover your content, acceptable use, and ChatMontage Pro. If there is a conflict relating to your licence to use ChatMontage, Apple's Standard EULA prevails.

Our privacy policy explains how we process personal data in connection with ChatMontage.

1. What ChatMontage does

ChatMontage turns text and media you provide into animated videos that resemble chat conversations. Free exports include a "Made with ChatMontage" watermark. ChatMontage Pro is a paid subscription that allows you to export without that watermark and use the additional features shown in the app.

2. Your content

• You retain any rights you hold in content you create or import. We do not claim ownership of that content. Those rights do not extend to ChatMontage itself or its bundled assets.
• You are responsible for all content you import or publish. You must have the rights and permissions needed to use other people's messages, media, names, and likenesses, and must not breach any duty of confidentiality.
• We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use ChatMontage's bundled assets solely as part of videos you create with the app, including monetised videos. You may not extract, copy, or distribute those assets separately.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use ChatMontage to:

• present fabricated conversations as genuine records or evidence in a way likely to deceive or harm another person, including through fraud, defamation, harassment, or deceptive impersonation;
• create, import, or publish content that is unlawful or infringes another person's copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights; or
• create content that exploits or harms minors.

You are responsible for what you publish and for complying with the terms and policies of any service where you share it.

4. ChatMontage Pro

• ChatMontage Pro is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. The applicable features, subscription period, and current price are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds in accordance with its policies. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings or through Manage Subscriptions.

5. iCloud

Projects are stored on your device and synchronised through your iCloud account. iCloud is provided by Apple, and its availability and operation are outside our control.

6. Consumer rights

Apple's Standard EULA contains the warranty and liability provisions that apply to ChatMontage. Nothing in these terms affects any rights or remedies you have under applicable consumer law.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to ChatMontage or the law. We will give you notice of material changes where required. The date above shows the current version.

8. Governing law

These supplemental terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer who lives elsewhere, you retain any protections that the laws of your country make mandatory. If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
